Rooms
Pelican's Pouch
Our main lodge,
the Pelican's Pouch, houses five large guest rooms on the second
floor. Situated some 20 ft. above the sand, each has a porch with hammock
offering a spectacular view of the waves breaking across the reef crest
some 100 yds, offshore. Each room has one double and two single beds
with private half bath. For convenient access from the beach, three
large showers with hot and cold water are shared at ground level adjacent
to the stairwell. A little less private than the cottages, these rooms work well for groups that know each other beforehand.
Groups
Our second property is located near the
center of the island and facing Cockscomb mountain range in the west
is home to our group and student facilities the Pelican's
University.
Meals
Our food is simple but freshly prepared, tasty and generous in serving size - this is important as a
day snorkeling or even just breathing the salt air will make you hungry!
Meals are served on the deck and menus are posted daily. Over the course of your stay you will sample a wide variety of tasty Belizean dishes, tropical fruits and vegetables and lots of seafood. Throughout the day, cold water, fruit juices, tea, coffee and a light snack are available for your convenience. These are part of the meal plan. If you have a food preference please let us know ahead of time as all supplies are brought from the mainland.
The bar stocks cold soft drinks, local beer and liquors and a variety of wine and imported liquors. Our bartender will whip you up a tasty and refreshing tropical drink. Run a tab and take care of it at the end of your stay.
"the
food, the people, the snorkeling, the hammocks, the views from the cottages and rooms - paradise
found!"
